Biography

Jana Fischer is the founder of Wenzel Consulting, LLC which specializes in youth and corporate development. As a consultant, Jana specializes in organizational infrastructure, training/facilitation, coaching, and human development. Wenzel Consulting, LLC partners with corporations, universities, and nonprofit organizations in many industries in an effort to develop human potential and to offer top quality resources and programs.

Jana has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management and Communication from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN and has earned a certificate of facilitation in the Youth Work Matters program from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, Jana has earned a certification in research in the return on investment (ROI), from the Jack Phillips Center for Research. Applying comprehensive techniques in measurement and evaluation has been instrumental in the success of evaluating programs to the fifth level of measurement (ROI).


Key Accomplishments
Consulting
  • Conducted the migration of proprietary information and industry specific content from one software program into a web based HTML interface with their intranet, for all customer representatives to access.

  • Conducted a request for proposal process (RFP) that enabled the organization to properly select the most adequate vendor for collaborative efforts on building of a training and development database for the gathering, reporting, and calculating of information for a local finance organization.

Training & Facilitating
  • Developed and implemented curriculum for a nonprofit organization focusing solely on women managing balance in their lives, using assessments, setting goals and developing action plans for change.

  • Facilitated Youth Work Matters workshops for regional groups working directly in the field of youth development, focusing on intentionality, key youth needs, and assumptions that are made when working with youth.

Measurement & Evaluation
  • Led task team to facilitate a corporate-wide, results-based approach in measurement and evaluation for a human resources function. Used feedback to enhance learning experiences and reported results to senior leadership team. Designed strategies, trainings, and tools to measure return on investment (ROI) of learning and development interventions.

  • Developed and researched strategies for managing a rate of fast growth in organizations that need to build their infrastructure to support the overall growth of the organization.

Team & Leadership Development
  • Coached teams and leaders resulting in improved communication and collaboration. Identified strengths, surfaced issues impeding teamwork, and customized interventions.

  • Coached individual contributors on their performance and contributions to the overall team within a human resources function.
